It seems ‘hot lava’ is the new buzz color for April, with the recent release of the Air Tech Challenge, quite a few other sneakers have been getting a piece of the ‘hot lava’ action. The newest is the Air Max Wright which is a sneaker that has traces of the Air Max 90 on the upper and the Air Max LTD on the bottom. This colorway is currently available in select retailers and ebay.

Apr 2 · Air Jordan 1 - Opening Day Pack - Back in stock

The Air Jordan Opening Day Pack dropped in stores over weekend and sold out quickly. They are currently back in stock at Finishline in sizes 8.5 to 13. This pack has already been a hit with collectors and casual sneakerheads alike. Most Jordan fanatics know that MJ’s first sport was actually baseball and not basketball and when he “retired” for the first time he left the sport of basketball to pursue his baseball dreams. He landed with the Chicago White Sox and then was moved down to the minor league affiliate, Birmingham Barons. Jordan Brand wanted to commemorate Michael’s playing days on the baseball diamond with this Opening Day Pack inspired by the Home and Away jerseys of the White Sox/Barons and various aspects of baseball.

As a part of the adidas Originals, Sounds of the City, the three stripes have released a Superstar commemorating the late Jam Master Jay of Run DMC. The shoe features a patent leather Black upper mixed with a Gray/Off White sole and of course the legendary Jam Master Jay pictured on the side of the shoe. The shoe hooks up with the matching apparel, as adidas tries to honor one of the first people that put adidas Superstars on the map in the US. Apr 2 · Nike Air Structure Triax ‘91 - Lucky Green - Germain Blue

Nike’s Sport Culture department is really getting behind the success of the Nike Air Structure Triax ‘91 and giving sneakerheads some options when it comes to this shoe. We saw the originals release last year when the shoe was brought out of retirement and in the past week we’ve seen two new releases including the Sunburst Blue colorway and now the Lucky Green/Germain Blue makeup. This Lucky Green/Germain Blue is a bold colorway that makes quite the statement and in addition the striped print on the inside of the shoe and parts of the outside give it a little extra flavor to really make it stand out. You can pick these up now on ebay.

The Adidas Stan Smith is a sneaker designed for 1960s tennis star Stan (Stanley Roger) Smith, this year it receives a small make over with a ‘Vulcaniz’ or Vulcanized sole. The term Vulcanized refers to a specific curing process of rubber involving high heat and the addition of sulfur and other equivalent curatives. It is a chemical process in which polymer molecules are linked to other polymer molecules by atomic bridges composed of sulfur atoms or carbon to carbon bonds. The end result is that the springy rubber molecules become cross-linked to a greater or lesser extent. This makes the bulk material harder, much more durable and also more resistant to chemical attack. It also makes the surface of the material smoother and prevents it from sticking to metal or plastic chemical catalysts. Mar 29 · Nike Air Force 1 07 - White / Grey / Anthracite - Spiridon Inspired

Simplicity is the theme for Air Force 1s this year, we’ve seen plenty of simple but dope colorways this year. This pair features a neutral grey and white upper, anthracite midsole and a red outsole. Also nice is the wide hole mesh side panels. Note that this is the Core+ edition of the Spiridon Inspired colorway. (thanks cincybcats22 for the reminder) The other Spiridon Inspired Air Force 1 is the Premium edition. Earlier this February, JD Sports called out that this would be an exclusive to them but it seems like this coloryway is hitting US stores. Online retailer Sneaker Doctor has already received their shipment.
